The Business Excellence Award, established by the editorial team of Business Traveller Hungary, once again recognized in 2023 those market players whose service quality stood out among their competitors and who significantly contributed to the growth of the Hungarian business tourism market.
At the ÖbölHáz Event Center on June 14, the ceremonial award gala was welcomed by Zoltán Gál Pál, CEO of Turizmus Kft., the publisher of Business Traveller Hungary magazine, to about 150 invited guests. He emphasized that the Business Excellence Award, presented for the 13th time, was renewed in several respects this year. One of the most important changes introduced to increase the award’s prestige was that this year the nominees were proposed and the awards were granted by a professional jury composed of delegates from professional organizations and prominent representatives of the sector, while the well-known and traditionally lively public voting also remained.
“We announce winners in 10+1 categories, but in line with the new expectations placed on businesses, the Business Excellence award categories have also partly changed in 2023,” highlighted Zoltán Gál Pál.
Record number of votes received for the best
Following a highly engaging professional discussion, the highlight of the evening was the award ceremony revealing the winners. Prominent representatives of the industry presented recognitions in 10+1 categories to the best in business tourism, based on the professional jury of Business Traveller Hungary magazine and the votes of the readership. This year, an outstandingly high number of nearly two thousand votes were cast for the finalists, resulting in particularly close competition among the best-regarded service providers in several categories. Etyeki Kúria Pezsgőbirtok received the audience award for the best event venue in the countryside category, for which we are sincerely grateful. On behalf of our winery’s tourism division, the award was accepted by our wine tourism manager, Szabolcs Szerepi.
